Clock is ticking! Will be under the knife early tomorrow morning!
Earlier this afternoon, I called UMC for final instructions and surgery time.
I am pleased to hear that it is not cancelled! :) so no postpones! Now that's out of way...
Whoa! surgery is already tomorrow! gee! Ok Ok.. I have to show up at Six o'Clock in the morning to get ready for operation which is scheduled to begin at 7:30am! I learned that surgery was scheduled for 5 and half hours! couple of hours in recovery rooms before going up into a regular room for overnight stay. We will leave here at 5:30am sharp..
I got a hour to go to stop eating and drinks!

No pre-op for sure...
I did call the UMC ambulatory service few days ago to confirm that no pre-op is needed because I already did that back in May before it was postponed to next week!
I got a message from Pam asking me to call back for color of cable and processor yesterday. So I called her today and picked Brown for both cable and processor.. I forgot to ask which processor, she did say CII but I didn't get to bottom of which processor, I mean BTE or BWP. I guess it might be BWP because she mentioned "cable" and "processor" I'll have to call again on monday that is if I can't reach them tomorrow on Saturday.

No Pre-op!
I was told by my brother that Pam, Dr. Green's nurse called back after I talked with her last week to let me know that I do not need to do pre-op again. I still have to call her today because Pam wanted me to call back.. I guess it is something else.. I'll find out today and report back to you today...
Update: I called Pam today and she said that I may not need to do pre-op but wanted me to call them (ambulatory service) to see if they want me to do pre-op or not... you know calling them for definitive answer. I'll call them tomorrow and will be making some calls like to speech center, and etc. Pam said that he would want me to see him one month after the surgery though.

Good News!
Called UMC yesterday afternoon and learned that the surgical equipment did arrive... finally! Pam, Dr. Green's nurse, was ready to schedule so...
(that was before my brother informed me that he got a message from UMC to call back which I didn't know!)
Now, the date is... June 26, 2003 ! (you can spread the word around! it is all set!)
I asked if I had to do pre-op stuff again and unfortunately yes, I have to... so I'll call this week to set up pre-op appt. I also asked to confirm that Dr. Green would want me to stay overnight for observation and the answer is yes.
Dave, hope that will get you prepared to workout on your day off!
Chris, I didn't get to say Happy Birthday to you but here you go! a belated one!
To my sisters that just had birthday recently, Happy Birthday!!! (I hope all of them see this! if not, let them know!)

Will call back again tomorrow
Called UMC today and my Dr's nurse seemed to be very busy and wasn't able to schedule without Dr's approval. It looked like a bad day to call them so I told them that I will call back tomorrow or sometime this week. So will let you know when I find out soon!

Nothing yet...
Hi all! Some of you have been asking me when is my new surgery date... well.. I planned to call UMC today but I somehow forgot to make the call! I guess I have been preoccupied all day today! Anyway, so far, I haven't heard from UMC yet so means nothing yet. I will make a phone call first thing in the morning and see what will comes up next.
